Fill the Gap Ministries was established in 1975 by Rev. Elbert Willis as the missions outreach of the church he pastored, with a commission to reach the world for Jesus Christ. “I sought for a man among them that should… Stand in the gap before me for the land… Ezekiel 22:30.
Today, Fill the Gap World Outreach Ministries has reached over 100 nations and continues the vision that Rev. Elbert Willis started by “Telling the Untold”, “Teaching the Untaught”, and “Training the Untrained”. With your support, over one million books have been published and given away throughout the world. These books have introduced God’s Word to many people for the first time. Letters continue to come in from across the globe, attesting to the work God has done in so many lives.
Reverend Elbert Willis was pastor of the Christian Center Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was a missionary and teacher to many nations across the world. Over the last 44 years of faithful ministry service, Pastor Willis authored 66 books which have been printed in numerous languages and spread throughout the World. He had sought to bring the Gospel to the nations even up to his last days. His most recent mission trip was in September 2008, in which he ministered to the people of Ukraine. Countless people across the world have been touched by his ministry and will one day walk the streets of gold with him.
On November 26, 2008, Reverend Willis passed away in Lafayette, La., with family at his side. Rev. Elbert Willis May 19, 1933 – Nov 26, 2008
Thank you for all your prayers and support, It is physically and emotionally hard for us to see Rev. Elbert Willis go home. We all are rejoicing for him as he exited this world and entered the kingdom he introduced to so many individuals.
