How important are words? John 6:63 states that “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The Words I have spoken to you – they are full of Spirit and life.” God’s Word that is conceived in your heart, then formed by the tongue, and spoken out of your mouth, becomes a spiritual force releasing the ability of God within you! Proverbs 18:21 reads, “The tongue has power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” There is life and death in the power of your tongue. Faith is good, but if you don’t open your mouth and release that faith, it’s of no value. I can do all things… Words are a spiritual principle you must learn to implement into your daily walk with Christ. We are all spirits with a body, the spiritual world is controlled by the Word of God that is spoken in our lives. Who do you want to move on your behalf based on your words? The natural world can be controlled by man speaking God’s Words in any worldly situation. God gives us creative power by his spoken Word. God spoke this world into existence. We are all made in his image (Gen. 2:27), we have power to create, the Word within you can produce your needs and desires, but speaking contrary to the Word of God will be disastrous. In Matthew 12:34-37 we read “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Become word conscious as you go about your day. Words are seeds that produce after their own kind. It is the Word abiding in you that causes Faith to be present in any situation. Prayer is your right to use and faith filled words will bring God onto the scene. In James 5:15 we read that the “Prayer of faith will save (deliver, heal, protect, made whole) the sick.” Prayer doesn’t work without faith, but faith can work without prayer. The universe we live in is still obeying God’s Word. In Hebrews 11:3 we read, “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.” The power is not in word’s but in His Word which operates under a spoken authority that backs the words. God said it and that settles it, God said it, let it be said! God didn’t follow it up with a maybe or I hope so. Genesis 1:6 reads, “And God said…” The devil knows there is power in the words we speak. He constantly tries so desperately to get people to confess doubt, fear, and unbelief. Words are containers, they will create either life or death. You will have what you say. (Prov. 13:3, 18:20-21; I Sam. 3:19; Mark 11:23)
Acquire a Bible language to counteract worldly conversations. Sharpen your faith language and release God’s presence within your life. Use the spoken Word to bring about God’s purpose on the earth. The Bible states that He watches over his Word to fulfill it. (Jer. 1:12, Is. 55:11; Heb. 3:1, 10:23) In Genesis, chapter 1, God’s creative presence was in effect, nothing was created until the Word was spoken. (Gen 1:3-26; Heb. 11:3) Speak the Word of faith to heal, deliver, to set the captive free. As you speak the Holy Spirit will go to work. (Matt. 8:16-17) The creative spoken Word will release the presence of Christ. Luke 5:17 states, “And the power of the LORD was with Jesus to heal the sick. “… Whatever you loose on earth has already been loosed in Heaven.” (Matt. 18:18) In Romans 10:8 we read, “…The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim:” Proclaim victory daily and walk with a renewed mind. In Romans 12:2 we read, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We won’t talk right if we don’t think right. Don’t let worldly influence shape your thoughts. (Mark 11:23) Don’t open a gateway for negative thoughts to control your life. Ephesians 4:29 commands, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 5:3-4, “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Matthew 12:36-37 reads, But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Words are a secret weapon to conquer the enemy. You are given the authority to receive what you say! In Job 22:18 we read that “…it was he who filled their houses with good things, so I stand aloof from the plans of the wicked.”
Confess your spiritual possessions for protection (Psalm 91:4), divine guidance (John 16:13) and the salvation to all who believe. Use your words to access your Heavenly Father. Matt 32-33 states “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” Confess Jesus before men, give Jesus something good to confess. Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Spoken words plant seeds of Salvation in others. Romans 10:17 states that “…faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”
